Spring-Up Assembler

Positions and secures the foundation within the frame. This foundation may include different types and combinations of springs and webbing. Uses manual and powered tools to clip, tie and/or staple these components into place. Requires constant use of arms and hands, along with careful attention to detail. Eight-way, hand-tied spring assembly is a highly skilled specialty within this job category. Your work is the actual foundation of comfort and support in every finished piece of upholstered furniture.


Education Required

What does a Spring-Up Assembler do?

Assembles and fastens coil springs in wood frame.
Applies nails, string, and springs to each piece of furniture.
Places springs in frame.
Puts cardboard on frames where needed.

What skills and abilities will I need?

English required for reading tickets and instructions
Pass a drug test, background check and E-verify screening
